Overview:
DRS Music is a nationally renowned and award-winning wedding and corporate events band that has played at some of Chicago's finest venues, including the new Modern Wing at the Art Institute, the Chicago Yacht Club, the Sears Tower, and the Peninsula, the Incontinental, and the James Hotels (among others). When David Rothstein first contacted SEO Group, his website was getting some traffic but had a very low conversion rate. They needed organic SEO and an online marketing strategy that involved designing a new, more usable website with simple, clear form that his visitors could fill out to get more information on DRS Music's services.
Challenge:
To optimize DRSMusic.com for a range of carefully chosen keywords that were both highly relevant and popular, such as Chicago wedding bands, wedding bands Chicago, Chicago corporate event bands. In addition, we had to make sure that the traffic driven from those keywords actually converted, so we designed a website that was simple to navigate and with a easy-to-understand form that users could fill out to request pricing and more information.
Solutions:
DRSMusic.com now appears at the top of page #1 for many competitive key phrases, including Chicago wedding bands, Chicago corporate event bands, wedding bands Chicago, and even broader phrases like Chicago bands. Currently, the appears on page#1 of Google for Chicago wedding band (which gets 775,00 results and 2,000 searches per month), Chicago wedding bands (6 million results and 1,600 searches per month), wedding bands chicago (6,740,000 results and 1,900 searches per month), and wedding band chicago (6,830,000 results and 1,200 searches per month). Of course, once we drove massive amounts of traffic to the DRS Music website, we had to ensure those users converted. Therefore, we revamped the website to make it more user-friendly, showcasing the number of positive testimonial and unique features that David Rothstein's band has to offer, from a wedding ceremony music guide to a useful blog that helps brides and event coordinators plan the big day.
Results:
Since achieving a page #1 ranking, DRSMusic.com has received over 2000 visitors per month, resulting in a substantial number of leads. David Rothstein's prominence has also risen - he has become a preferred vendor at some of Chicago's finest hotels and event venues, and has played at dozens of Chicago landmarks, including the aforementioned Sears Tower and the Art Institute as well as Loyola and Northwestern Universities. While obviously the band talent plays an essential role, being on page #1 gives them the necessary exposure that gets them at the forefront of their audience's minds before they hear them play a note.
