Search Engine Land has a great round up of four small businesses and their success with SEO and search engine marketing.  The main point of the article is similar to SEOGroup’s own approach: every business is different and therefore needs a different strategy.

In honor of the holiday, this week’s “what if _____ was an SEO?” will not be focused on a particular individual, but rather our nation’s great patriots.  After all, “a patriot must always be ready to defend his country against his government” (Edward Abbey), and SEO companies must always be ready to defend their clients against poor rankings and low positions in the SERPs. 

Rob Snell has an amazing search marketing and search engine optimization story. He recently testified before Congress about the impact that search marketing (both organic/natural - SEO and pay-per-click advertising) can have on small businesses. Of course, as an SEO company we are already aware of that, but it is great to see search marketing get some air time at such a high level.

As a web design and SEO company, we sometimes forget that not everyone follows the latest trends and news in search engine optimization and search engine marketing. In fact, we sometimes forget that not everyone is as well-versed in the ways of the web as we are.
