SEO From The Perspective Of Mr. All World Mike Phelps

It has got to be pretty good to be Michael Phelps right about now - all those Olympic medals, worldwide game, being at the pinnacle of success in his chosen sport.  Therefore, he is our SEO company’s choice for this week’s “what would ____ do if they were an SEO?” post.

Obviously, Mike Phelps would be a focused SEO with his eye on the prize; but instead of Olympic gold and world records, his prize would be the top spot in the SERPs.  Judging by his ability to get things done in the water, he’d probably get things done online too, and he wouldn’t waste time wondering what tactics to try or what techniques to use - he would be a doer, not a wishful dreamer.  I want to be able to look back and say, ‘I’ve done everything I can, and I was successful.’ I don’t want to look back and say I should have done this or that.”

He’d also be a pretty optimistic and hardworking SEO or search engine marketer, or as he said himself, “I think that everything is possible as long as you put your mind to it and you put the work and time into it. I think your mind really controls everything.”  Clearly, in swimming as in SEO, anything is possible with talent and a lot of effort.

The statement that is most applicable to SEO, however, is this one: “I don’t like to be second in anything” - because clearly Michael Phelps doesn’t settle for less than the top spot, and a great SEO company doesn’t settle for less than the top position in the SERPs.
