SEO And Da Coach: SEO From Mike Ditka’s Perspective

Since the Bears had their first pre-season game last night, today’s “what would ____ do if they were an SEO?” (our SEO company’s regular Friday feature) post is focused on da coach himself, Chicago icon and football legend Mike Ditka.

First of all, Mike Ditka would probably be a realistic SEO, as he felt that “success isn’t permanent and failure isn’t fatal” - fluctuations in the search engine results wouldn’t scare him out of the industry.  He’d also be highly motivated, because after all, “the ones who want to achieve and win championships (and get to the top of the SERPs) motivate themselves” and “you’re never a loser until you quit trying“.

As one of only two individuals who won a Super Bowl as a player, an assistant coach, and a head coach (Tom Flores is the other), Mike Ditka knows what it takes to make it to the top.  He also knew how to make headlines and get attention regardless of what happened on the field, pulling stunts like heckling journalists, taunting fans, and even appearing on a magazine cover with his first round draft pick wearing a wedding dress.  Clearly, one of his strengths as an SEO or internet marketer would be crafting killer linkbait.

Lastly, since he was such a competitive player and coach, Mike Ditka would also be a competitive SEO, out to dominate and destroy his competitors in the SERPs.  Remember, he believed that “competition is why you play the game”, and search engine optimization is nothing if not competitive.
