Blogging Conundrums: Great Content, No Readers

There are millions of blogs on the internet, and while many of them are probably not worth a click, there are plenty that are entertaining, interesting, and/or informative reads (like our SEO company blog) if only you knew about them.  And of course, most of us don’t have the time or the inclination to sift through tons of blogs hoping to find that one diamond in the rough.  However, Chuck Westbrook has come up with a solution for all those bloggers that produce fantastic content but lack the readership they deserve - basically, his idea is to help under-appreciated bloggers publicize their blogs and get more traffic and ideally, increase their loyal readership.

The idea is that a group of bloggers focuses on one particular blog for two weeks - reading posts, commenting on them and voting for them on relevant social media sites.  If the blog is truly a hidden gem, the project will help the good content become more popular - the cream will rise to the top.

The concept does seem simple on the surface, however, if hundreds of bloggers (or even just a few top bloggers) participate, it could end up being really effective.  After all, it just takes one person to get the ball rolling and start leading a powerful tribe.
